Features of Horizontal Tanks :
Thermal Insulation: The need for thermal insulation of the shell is determined by limy oil products storage. A certain temperature needs to be held to pre-heat or cool the stored liquid. The heat exchange jacket or a steam- water or electric heating system performs this purpose. Due to the circulation of the heat transfer medium, the heat exchange jacket with a density of up to 120 mm can sustain the temperature regime.
Defense against Corrosion: The tank shell is treated with anti-corrosion coatings to protect the metal structure against the harmful effects of stored liquids. Coloring coats with a variety of layers of polyurethane (first, enamel) on the outside and inside anti-corrosive protection.
Increased corrosion protection is used as a defender against underground horizontal storage tanks as the exterior surface is vulnerable to groundwater impact.
